Peaches and Gypsy

All along the path to Leopard trail are several fields of flowers. A field of tiny, shining, delicate gypsy blooms can lift the mood in a glance. They look so pristine and beautiful that one is absolutely tempted to stop and stand admiring them. This design takes shadows of gypsy blooms and laspers collected on one such drive to the Aravallis.  Playfully, creating shadows of these bunches , the artwork happened.

This saree is a personal message to self, to know that simplicity, beauty and grace are not limited to size and presence. The tiny little gypsies do not care about all that and are just happy, smiling, little blooms filling a field with their being.
