An ode to Jamini

These designs are inspired from indigenous flowers from our walks to the Aravallis on Gurugram’s periphery and arriving at a lotus pond. The ephemeral, pristine and poised lotus in the pond inspired these sketches.

This saree represents the still waters, the Hand painted, embroidered lavender pink lotuses and the delicate water drops. It is an Ode to Jamini, the woman who bloomed in still waters of life with sprinkling of few waterdrops of love-past and present, creating  beauty of life.
